A Russian woman was injured when an unidentified youth stabbed her while trying to loot her in the temple town on Monday, police said.

Lisina Nadezade (30), staying in a lodge since Sunday, went out in Baliapanda area on a bi-cycle this afternoon when she was stopped by the youth who demanded money from her, police said.
The man took out a knife and stabbed the woman when she refused to part with money, causing injury on her left arm.
The woman, who had come to the sea-side town from Bhubaneswar where she wanted to work with an NGO, was taken to hospital and discharged after first aid.
The youth fled from the scene.
A case has been registered at Puri Sadar police station.
