S'raman case adjourned to June 6

Court adjourns to June six the Sankararaman murder case in which Jayendra Saraswathi and Vijayendra Saraswathi, are the main accused.

A Sessions court in Puducherry has adjourned to June six the Sankararaman murder case in which the Kanchi seer Jayendra Saraswathi and junior Acharya Vijayendra Saraswathi, are the main accused.

Principal District and Sessions Judge M Chinnapandi adjourned further proceedings when the case came up before the court.

Only twelve out of 24 accused were present. Those absent included the Kanchi seers.

The case relates to the murder of Sankararaman, managing trustee of the Lord Varadaraja Perumal temple at Kancheepuram, in 2004.
