Sahiba, Sumit clinch inter-school TT titles

SAHIBA PATNI and Sumit Patidar won the girls? junior and cadet boys? titles respectively in the inter-school Siddharth Soni memorial table tennis tournament organised by Guru Harkrishan Public School under the aegis of Indore District Table Tennis Association played at Siddharth Sports Academy.

SAHIBA PATNI and Sumit Patidar won the girls’ junior and cadet boys’ titles respectively in the inter-school Siddharth Soni memorial table tennis tournament organised by Guru Harkrishan Public School under the aegis of Indore District Table Tennis Association played at Siddharth Sports Academy.

In the individual event, Sahiba Patni of Emerald Heights International School beat Aishwarya Jain of Bhavan’s Prominent by 11-6, 11-5 and 11-7 while in the Cadet boys’ finals Sumit Patidar of Emerald Heights International defeated Shubh Choudhry of Vidya Sagar in the thrilling match by 11-9, 8-11,11-7 and 11-8 to win the title.

Columbia students excel

COLUMBIA CONVENT Taekwondo players excelled at the recently concluded district level Taekwondo championship to bring laurels to their School.

The players bagged 11 gold, two silver and six bronze medals. Ayush Tiwari, Shivangi Upadhyaya, Shantanu Kulkarni, Aman Jagtap, Kanishka Jain, Anurag Choubey, Divya Bhargava, Ibrahim Ali, Sagar Patidal, Anurag Singh Tomar and Sonal Parate won the various medals in their respective weight categories.

School principal Nalini Pal and the management have congratulated students for their excellent performance.

CCI rout Lucky Sports

BRILLIANT BOWLING by Mayank Jagdale helped his team CCI to rout Lucky Sports by eight wickets in the Barelal Chowkse memorial Under-19 cricket tournament organised by Indore Sports Club.

Batting first Lucky Sports were skittled out merely for 66 runs in 20 overs. The highest scorer was Mr Extras with 30 runs that helped Lucky Sports to cross the 50 run mark.Mayank Jagdale grabbed three wickets while Rohan Shrivatsav and Madhur Nahar took two wickets each.

Chasing a low target of 67, a strong CCI had no difficulty in surpassing the required target losing two wickets to sail into the second round. Satyam Choudhry and Shivam Mishra scored 22 and 23 runs respectively.

Kartik, Chirayu in top 10

KARTIK AND CHIRAYU of Sartaj Academy have been ranked in top 10 of the National badminton ranking announced recently. Sartaj Academy convener, Dharmesh Yashlaha said that Kartik Singh has been ranked sixth while Chirayu Jain has been ranked fifth.
