The representatives of the HPSC said they would soon meet senior police officials in this regard.

According the HPSC officials, it has come to the notice of school authorities that many undesirable elements were doing rounds near schools during closing time.

“Such elements have a free run as the police presence is scant during school closing time,” said an HPSC office-bearer. Pratap Singh, HPSC president, said schools have been complaining about the menace caused by outsiders.

Singh said many mischief makers hang around outside schools and harass girl students.

“I have been complaining about underage driving in Gurgaon. I have personally spoken to senior police officials. But there is no follow-up action,” Singh added.

“We are going to launch a major drive against underage drivers. Parents and children will be given counselling,” said Bharti Arora, DCP (traffic).
