The activists demanded apology from the CM to the victims and action against the guilty policemen.

The activists, led by SCP convenor Om Prakash Shukla and Shri Narayan Yadav, shouted slogans against the CM and held a meeting at AUU hall after burning his effigy. Presiding over the meeting, Yadav condemned the lathicharge and said that the CM had been trying to win votes through unemployment dole but had resorted to brutal attacks on handicapped persons who were only going to apprise him with their problems.

Shukla demanded resignation of the CM on moral grounds and demanded compensation for those injured in the lathicharge. Student leader Sanju Yadav threatened to launch an agitation if the CM failed to tender an apology and if the guilty police officers went unpunished. Anand Singh said the act reflected the dictatorial mentality of the chief minister.

Ashu Singh said that the handicapped persons were not alone in times of crisis.

Students would support them to get justice.

Those present on the occasion included Santosh Singh, Anand Upadhyaya, Pankaj Prajajpati, Manoj Yadav, Raj Kumar Patel, Hari Om Yadav, Vivek Mishra, Mahendra Mishra, Raju Singh and Manoj Kumar Singh Patel among others.
