Wild swings marked trading on the Bombay Stock Exchange during the initial session on Tuesday, as the benchmark Sensex soared 59.55 points during the first five minutes of trading before slipping in the red and bouncing back again from there.

At 10.30 am, the Sensex, which rose 61 points in previous trading, was quoting at 12,072.47 points, up 1.17 points.
The wide-based National Stock Exchange Nifty rose by 14.35 points to trade at 3,507.10.
