Of those arrested, 13 were reported from Andhra Pradesh, one each from Uttarakhand and Karnataka while three other women were residents of Nepal.

The 18 women, aged between 17 to 45 years, were arrested from a multi-storied building owned by Deepak Sareen.

Although, a majority of women said that they indulged in the practice at their own free will, police said that Sareen and his accomplice Suman Tamang, a resident of Nepal, pushed them in flesh trade and supplied them to customers in Delhi.

“The two men ran the racket and supplied these women to customers in Delhi. We are investigating whether these women were pushed through human trafficking. We are in communication with their respective police station areas,” said SSP Raghubir Lal.
