The only contestant from Delhi, Neha Kakkar, is out of the Indian Idol II race. A favourite of all the judges, audience and even other finalists, Neha has been shockingly voted out by the public despite her amazing performance. The very talented girl from Delhi was naturally shattered on the sets of Indian Idol II.

The results of the elimination round were devastating — the most unexpected finalists stood with their heads bowed in prayers, on the stage. Outstanding performances by Meenal Jain, Amey Date and Neha Kakkar did not move the viewers. Neha, particularly, was being toasted by the judges for her Xfactor clubbed with her brilliant singing ability. The mystery that baffles one and all now is: “What is India exactly looking for in its Indian Idol?” Commenting on Neha’s being voted out of the show, Anu Malik says: “I don’t know what is it that the viewers are voting for. Looks like they have decided to go against the judges. I cannot imagine Amey, Meenal and Neha in the bottom three. I am very sad for Neha.” Neha was unable to participate in the music video of the show due to chicken pox. On losing out, she says: “I am going to miss my friends on the show and more so the stage, which has given me name, fame and recognition.” If the judges feel that a deserving finalist is out of this year’s race, the Delhi contestant has taken it in her stride.

Meanwhile, here’s a note of advise from the judges: Put your favourite contestant on safe grounds by voting more and more for them. Otherwise there is a chance that deserving participants will be eliminated, just like Neha was.
