In the petition that came up for hearing before the division bench comprising Chief Justice A K Patnaik and Justice Ajeet Singh, the Bhrashtachar Nirodhak Prachar Samiti regional president Sneha Mishra demanded that the state government form a high-level power committee to inspect the schools and give its recommendations.

The PIL states that majority of government primary schools aren’t performing their duties and irregularities are galore there. In such schools the teachers, instead of teaching the students, were making them groom their houses, the PIL alleged.

The PIL pointed out that condition of the students in private schools was also not good. Some private schools in MP are housed in upper floors even on fourth floor. The Samiti has incorporated its inspection report of some schools with documents.
