Soren, chairman of NDA steering committee in Jharkhand, appeared at the court of first class judicial magistrate S P Thakur along with co-accused state Tribal Welfare and Transport Minister Champai Soren and former minister Dulal Bhuiyan.
He was among 400 accused and the next date of hearing was fixed on January 25.
According to an FIR lodged with the police here, Soren and the two others along with their supporters had taken out a procession and fired several rounds in the air while paying homage to slained JMM president Nirmal Mahto ahead of the polls.
