SICA Day celebrated with fervour

THE SOUTH Indian Cultural Association celebrated SICA Day with great fervour on Sunday. SICA honoured S S Venkatachalm and V S Rama Rao on the occasion for their contribution to the association.

THE SOUTH Indian Cultural Association celebrated SICA Day with great fervour on Sunday. SICA honoured S S Venkatachalm and V S Rama Rao on the occasion for their contribution to the association.

M R Chandrashekar was given send off as his family was leaving Indore to settle in Pune. President K Srinivasan and vice president P Babuji facilitated senior members.

Dr Ganeshan conducted ‘Patrimandram’ (debate competition) for the first time in the history of SICA. Both men and women took part in the competition.

K Srinivasan, Balakrishnan, V Natraj Iyer, Rajamani, SBS Iyer, Ravichandran, Ms. Poornima Chandrashekar, Revathy Sundaram, Vimala Venkatesh, Kala Anant, Anandi Rajamani, Bhagrati Chandrashekar and Bala Ravichandran took part in the ‘Patrimandram’.

After the programme ‘Kavi Arangam took place. V S Mani, V R Subramaniyam, Srinivasan, R Sundar and Indra Gopala Krishnan took part actively to entertain the members. Dr Ganeshan conducted the programme. Earlier, the association president briefed about the members honoured. Secretary R Sundar welcomed the gathering.
