Six killed as part of mine collapses

At least six labourers who were working in a stone mine were killed today and over a dozen persons were injured when a part of the mine collapsed on them in Rajasthan's Pratapgarh district.

"The mishap occurred in Parsoli area, about 60 kms from the district headquarters, this afternoon. Bodies of six persons have been pulled out while around 16 others were hospitalised in critical condition," Block CMHO (Dhariawad) Dr A R Soni, who visited the site, told PTI over phone.

He said that the rescue operation was underway in the mine which is about 200 feet deep.
