Six militants killed in encounter in Srinagar

Six militants, hiding in a house, opened indiscriminate fire on a search party and in the ensuing encounter they were killed.

Six militants were killed in an encounter with security forces in Pulwama district on Saturday.

On a tip off, police assisted by army and CRPF cordoned Lurgam-Tral village, 45 kms from here.

Finding themselves trapped, the militants hiding in a house opened indiscriminate fire on the search party and in the ensuing encounter three militants were killed, police said.
