Accused Saraju, Sakir, Mubarik, Jumma and Ismile were arrested by the Gurgaon police on Wednesday.

Vijender (28), a resident of Abheypur village, was allegedly beaten to death by the five accused on Tuesday following an argument over a bottle of water, which he had purchased from a local shop in Sohna.

In wake of allegations by the victim's family that the incident took place in the presence of police personnel, three policemen - ASI Sripal, head constable Vedpal and constable Harish - have been suspended for negligence in performing duty.

The victim's family alleged that Vijender was beaten to death before the police PCR, deployed in the area, and the police personnel became silent spectators and refused to save him.

Following the incident on Wednesday, enraged family members along with local residents had placed the victim's body on the road and raised slogans against the police and administration. A police team later arrived at the spot and pacified the villagers.

Police was deployed in large numbers to control the situation. The villagers remove the blocked after police officials assured to take action.

The victim's body was handed to his family after a postmortem.

Meanwhile, the police have formed several teams to arrest the other accused, reportedly on the run.

"We will take strict action against the accused. We have conducted several raids in the city and nearby areas to arrest the remaining accused. They will be nabbed soon," said Maheshwar Dayal DCP (crime).
