Young, suave and Net-savvy: Meet Chirag Paswan and Tejaswi Yadav, scions of two major political families of Bihar. While Chirag, son of Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) president Ram Vilas Paswan, had a short stint in Bollywood, Tejaswi, son of RJD chief Lalu Prasad, had a brief fling with the cricket world.

It is their ambition to ‘capture political space’ in Bihar that has led to a clash between the two titans of Bihar politics and nearly stalled the process of a likely pre-poll alliance between the Congress, RJD and LJP.
When the Congress and RJD dilly-dallied on an alliance with the LJP for over two months, it was Chirag who moved decisively towards the BJP-led NDA.“The party has no issues with Narendra Modi after courts have given him a ‘clean’ chit in the 2002 riots,” he said.
After a failed attempt in cricket, Lalu Prasad declared Tejaswi (24) his successor. He took over the party affairs after Lalu was convicted in the fodder scam.
He brought the RJD onto the social media. Lalu, who was earlier averse to Information Technology, now has a Facebook account.
