"Gandhi and her family left for Delhi on Tuesday afternoon. They spent two days in the resort (Wildflower Hall, an Oberoi Group's luxury resort on the outskirts of the town). For just half an hour, they visited Priyanka's cottage which is being constructed (near the resort)," the official told IANS.

The Gandhi family, which had reached Shimla on Sunday, enjoyed the heavy showers on Tuesday morning, the official said, adding the Congress chief and her daughter were frequent visitors to Shimla, and preferred to keep their visit a private affair.

Local Congress leader Kehar Singh Khachi, who has been supervising the construction of Priyanka's house, said: "The cottage will be complete by the end of this year."
