The Chief Minister's supporters arrived at the venue raising slogans in favour of Preneet, Gandhi and Amrinder, while his deputy's supporters carrying posters thronged the pandal raising slogans hailing Bhattal and Sonia. Supporters of Congress nominee in neighbouring Sangrur Arvind Khanna were raising slogans in favour of all in order to show unity in the party.
Bhattal's son Rahul entered the pandal in a big procession was stopped by policemen at entry point. However, this failed to dampen his spirit and he along with his supporters made way in a huff to reach near podium and finding no room to sit, plugged the passage and sat there.
Bhattal immediately reached the press enclosure and said "Youth Congress workers are enthused due to entry of Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Wadera into politics."
