Sood fails to move MiC members

MAYOR Sunil Sood recently wrote letters to Mayor-in-Council (MiC) members asking them to remain present in programmes organised by Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC).

MAYOR Sunil Sood recently wrote letters to Mayor-in-Council (MiC) members asking them to remain present in programmes organised by Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC).

In the letter, Sood reportedly wrote that it was seen that the MiC members ignored important BMC programmes. The MiC members are important in the corporation and should behave responsibly, he said.

However, the letter does not seem to have made any impact on the MiC members, if the absence of many of them from the BMC programme, organised at New Market today to inaugurate the beautification project, is anything to go by.

The absence two MiC members — Mohammed Sarwar and Amir Aqueel — was noticed much during todayay’s programme. Both these members belong to the camp of MLA from Bhopal North Arif Aqueel, who doesn’t enjoy good rapport with Sood these days.
