South Africa won the toss and elected to field against the Indians in the four-day warm-up cricket match at Sedgars Park in Potchefstroom on Thursday.

Among the bastmen, the visitors left out Gautam Ghambir and Dinesh Kaarthick as well as the injured Rahul Dravid from the playing eleven.

Harbhajan Singh and Irfan Pathan have been afforded one more chance to press their claims.
