SP LS chief whip tears into UPA Govt

LAUNCHING A tirade against the Congress led UPA Government, Samajwadi Party (SP) chief whip in Lok Sabha Mohan Singh said here on Tuesday that since Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav posed a challenge to the Congress, the party hatched a conspiracy against the UP Government. Issuance of the income tax notice to superstar Amitabh Bachchan and the Supreme Court notice to Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav was part of that conspiracy.

Expressing his views at an impressive gathering at the district collectorate office, Mohan Singh said that the SP had supported the formation of a secular government led by the Congress on basis of common minimum programme.

He criticised the Congress for ignoring the common minimum programme the government formation. Singh said that the last two years of UPA government corruption was prevailing in all departments and the prices of essential commodities shot up. Hitting hard at the Manmohan Singh-led government for creating hindrance in development projects, he said that hike in prices of iron and cement forced the contractors to leave the contact for construction of much- hyped four-lane Prime Minister’s road scheme.

Singh defended the SP president on the issue of notice issued by the SC and said the property of the CM belonged to his ancestors and increase in prices of land in the last 10 years increased the value of his property. State Minister Rambhual Nishad said due to faulty policies of Centre, suffering of people increased.
