Spot-fixing: one more bookie held

Tamil Nadu police on Thursday arrested one more bookie taking the number to eight in all so far in connection with betting scandal.

However, this betting scandal is not related to the spot fixing scandal being investigated by the Mumbai police and Delhi police.

CBCID in a statement said it was looking into the dealings of a real estate developer with cricket bookies.

The bookies have VIP clients and one such is an important real estate developer, the CBCID said without naming the real estate developer.

Investigation is going on all the leads and inputs that are available. Special police parties are formed to nab notorious bookie Kitty alias Uttam, the statement said.
