THE SPECIAL Task Force (STF) were all set to nab Sachin Pahadi as sources in the police indicated that location of the criminal has been traced.

Pahadi is the only clue left with the cops to establish as to who is the real killer of Mehar Bhargava even though the key witness has identified the arrested accused Sunny Rawat as the shooter.

As the Mehar’s kin established the killer’s identity the cops now were banking upon arrest of Pahadi only. SSP Ashutosh Pandey said that they were identifying the hideouts in the city where Pahadi had taken refuge while running away from the police. Pandey still maintained that Pahadi had suffered gunshot injury in his leg in exchange of fire near Qaiserbagh crossing on Wednesday.

The SSP claimed that clues collected so far indicated that Pahadi was still hiding somewhere in the city and hence the police teams were engaged in searching the criminal. He said that the cops would trace Pahadi soon. Sources in the STF, however, revealed that the team engaged in Mehar Bhargava investigation were unaware about the encounter drama staged by Lucknow police on Wednesday.

The STF team had collected important clues about the whereabouts of Pahadi and it did not indicate his location in or around the city, the sources revealed.

On the other hand, the Lucknow police ignored collecting details about history-sheeter of Mughalsarai Amit Singh who had close links with a don-turned-MLA in the city. The police had brought Amit’s photograph here and had shown to the eyewitness in the case and the two accused Pramod and Jai Prakash. The cops, however, had claimed that none had confirmed Amit’s presence at the scene of crime on February 28.

The Lucknow police did not make any effort to trace Amit Singh since then and later claimed that there was nobody in the name of Amit present at the scene.

SSP Pandey claimed that Sachin Pahadi was also known as Amit Singh and it was he who had pulled the trigger.
