The police chased the accused from Gurgaon to Bhiwari (Rajasthan). However, three of their accomplices managed to flee.

The accused have been identified as Khushi Ram (22), student of a polytechnic college in Narnaul, Arvind (30), an absconding army jawan from Pataudi and Ravinder (25), a factory worker in Jhajjar district.

They were produced before a local court in Gurgaon which sent them to three-day police remand.

Police sources said the accused targeted Sandeep Kumar, a resident of Bilaspur village. The incident took place near the Bilaspur-Tauru road when
Kumar was returning to his village.

“When Kumar slowed down his car’s speed at a speed breaker, accused Khushi Ram, Arvind, Ravinder along with their three associates allegedly forced him to stop. They allegedly snatched the car keys at gunpoint. The accused assaulted Kumar, pushed him out of the vehicle and fled,” said Babu Lal, SHO Bilaspur police station.

“As soon as we got information about the incident, our PCR van deployed nearby reached the spot. We informed the Tauru police and chased the accused. Though they crossed Tauru and entered Bhiwari (Rajasthan), we followed them and nabbed three accused. However, three others managed to escape,” said Lal.

“We are interrogating them. We cannot rule out the possibility of their involvement in other crimes,” he added.
