Hindus offer prayer to Goddess Saraswati at Bhojshala on Basant Panchami. State Congress president Subhash Yadav has written a letter both to the Governor and the Chief Minister seeking their intervention to ensure peace and communal harmony in the town.

In his letter, Yadav has referred to statement of convener Hindu Jagran Manch Radheshyam Yadav, who has appealed to people to assemble at Bhojshala in large numbers. He said such statements could lead to untoward incident at Dhar.

He has also taken exception to transfer of the district Collector and district Superintendent of Police of Dhar and posting of officers removed from Dhar following controversies instead.
