Taj International Year to end with three-day finale

Several artistes of international repute will be performing at the closing ceremony of the 'Taj International Year' here.

The three-day finale, commencing on September 25, is an open-air event outside the Agra Fort in Madhogarh and will feature performances by the likes of Pakistani singers Abida Parveen and Adnan Sami.

Muzzafar Ali's 'Jahan-e-Ishq', a Sufi music concert featuring Parveen, would kick off the event on Sunday with flutist Hari Prasad Chaurasia scheduled to perform the following day.

Actor and danseuse Jayaprada would be presenting her rendition of the ballet 'Amrapali' on September 26 while singer Sami will be performing several of his hit numbers on Tuesday.

Wooden models of the Tak Mahal, made by artists I N Khanand and Sudarshan Patnaik, would also be on display during the event.

UP Tourism Secretary Reeta Sinha is expected to oversee arrangements for the finale here.
