The CMD of transmission company, Suraj Shivapori, has in reply informed Scindia that the projects were being taken up on priority basis after some initial hurdles. He cited inexperience in executing turnkey contracts by SEBs as the reason for slow progress.

Besides, electric work contractors in the State were not capable for handling these projects requiring skilled manpower, machinery and huge investment, he added.

The CMD drew Scindia’s attention towards other 200 projects being carried out under APDRP, saying only 28 of the total 200 projects were completed in time all over the country.
