Both the teams came from Guwahati via Ranchi and landed in a 50-seater ATR-42 chartered flight at Sonari Airport.

The team members were accorded warm welcome with traditional tribal dance 'Rinjha' and non-tribal dance 'Manbhum Chhau' at the airport.

Hundreds of cricket fans thronged outside the airport gate to have glimpse of their heroes and shouting "Dhoni Dhoni" but the dashing wicket-keeper batsman from Jharkhand was missing as he went to meet his family members in Ranchi and would arrive later in the evening, the local manager of India team Rajiv Kumar Singh said.

The players, however, were whisked away by two buses to the hotel Regent and reporters were not allowed to enter the airport.

The teams are likely have a light warm up in the afternoon, the Jharkhand State Cricket Association sources said.
