Telangana activists threaten to obstruct IPL matches

The Telangana fire has engulfed Indian Premier League severely, with pro-Telangana activists threatening to obstruct the conduct of four matches to be played in Andhra Pradesh. Amidst unrest, the opening match was also moved out from Hyderabad and shifted to Mumbai.

The Telangana fire has engulfed Indian Premier League severely, with pro-Telangana activists threatening to obstruct the conduct of four matches to be played in Andhra Pradesh.

Earlier, the Indian Premier League 3 governing body decided to move out the opening match from Hyderabad and shift it to Mumbai amidst unrest in Andhra Pradesh over the Telangana issue.

He announced that the match between Deccan Chargers and Kolkata Knight Riders would now be played at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai.

Modi seemed to have made up his mind after protesters disrupted a Twenty20 tournament in Hyderabad on January 21.
