The Graduate songs top greatest soundtrack list

The soundtrack of The Graduate, a film which immortalised the characters played by Dustin Hoffman and the late Anne Bancroft, has been named as the Greatest Soundtrack of All time, in a music poll conducted by Giant magazine.

The 1967 classic album, which featured Simon and Garfunkel's hit songs, like Mrs Robinson and The Sounds of Silence took the top slot in the list of 50 Greatest Soundtracks of All time, beating Prince's Purple Rain and Pulp Fiction.

"The Harder They Come" came in fourth, followed by "Rushmore", which rounded off the top five, reports Ratethemusic.
