Three held in Hayatpur murder case

The city police have arrested three men for their alleged involvement in the murder of former sarpanch and attack of his father in Hayatpur village.

The city police have arrested three men for their alleged involvement in the murder of former sarpanch and attack of his father in Hayatpur village.

The police have also recovered seven pistols and live cartridges from them. They were arrested from Pataudi area on Saturday.

According to the police, the accused are contract killers. They have been identified as Manoj Kumar, a resident of Meerut in UP, and Satender Kumar from Patna, Bihar. Third accused Sunil, a resident of Pataudi, allegedly gave shelter to the two in his home.

The police said Manoj shot at former sarpanch Rakesh on June 23, who died on the spot. Satender opened fire at father of slain ex-sarpanch on November 3.

The ex-sarpanch was shot dead by four bike-borne criminals on June 23. One of the attackers, captured by the villagers, was lynched.
