Three unidentified militants are killed in a gunbattle with police commandoes at New Keithelmanbi area in Imphal West district of Manipur.

Three unidentified militants were killed on Saturday in a gunbattle with police commandoes at New Keithelmanbi area in Imphal West district of Manipur.

The police sources said the police commandoes after receiving reports that some militants were moving in the area raided the area.

As they stepped up operation, they were fired upon by the militants and the militants were killed in the ensuing encounter.

Sources said they recovered three grenades from the spot. The bodies have been sent to Regional Institute of Medical Science and Hospital for post mortem.
