Three persons killed, five others injured in accidents

In another mishap one person died and five others were injured including one seriously when the jeep in which they were travelling was hit a parking truck from rear near Sundargarh bypass road, 120 km from here.

Three persons, including a couple, were killed on the spot and five others injured in two separate road accidents on the state-highway-10 in between Rourkela to Sundargarh today.

Police said a couple died on the spot when their bike collided head-on with a speeding jeep near Ranibandh under Rajgangpur police station, 45 km from here.

One Azad Ansari (40) and his died near Ranibandh while the other victim was identified as Balabhadra Kalo (38).

All injured were admitted to Sundargarh district headquarters hospital where one of them was stated to be serious.

Police investigation into the twin accidents was on.
