Three years later, 40-year-old Muzaffarnagar riots victim dies

A 40-year-old man who had sustained severe head injury in the 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots and went into coma, died on Tuesday, police said.

The victim, Maher Alam, a resident of Rehmatnagar locality in Muzaffarnagar, died at his house on Tuesday, police said.

Alam was injured during the riots and an FIR was registered against unidentified people in this regard, police added. No arrest has been made in the case, they added.
