Trade report: Paanch-nama

The opening collections for all five films this week ranged between five and 10 per cent. The worst hit was the response to Lottery, reports Vajir Singh.

The past few weeks have seen multiple films releasing simultaneously with below average response. Tradewallahs blame it on the examination period. Also, the fact that promos haven’t been alluring enough to bring in the audience.

The opening collections for all five films this week ranged between five and 10 per cent. The worst hit was the response to

The collections aren’t expected to grow during the week. The box office is waiting for that elusive hit.

More duds

All three releases of last week,

Little Zizou, Gulaal

and

Jai Veeru

, will rank among this year’s failures.

There was a slight improvement in the collections of

Little Zizou

and

Gulaal

but not enough for for either of the films to sustain for long.
