Sukhdeo Oraon, a resident of Godnatekitand village of Latehar district, about 90 km from Ranchi, was born with a tail at his back like animals, local media reports said.
"My son was born with a tail. I contacted many local doctors but they could not treat him," said Ramlal Oraon, father of Sukhdeo Oraon.
"The doctors told me not to worry about the tail," Ramlal said.
The poverty-stricken family does not have enough money to consult better doctors.
"I have spent lots of money on his treatment but he could not be cured. I am in debt and unable to take him outside the village to consult experts," he said.
When Sukhdeo was born he became a centre of attraction and many termed him an incarnation of Lord Hanuman.
People even started seeking blessings from him though the hapless father said his own family had hardly witnessed a good day since his birth.
Sukhdeo is Ramlal's third son. His fourth son is blind and cannot walk upright.
"We hardly manage to make both ends meet. It may be a curse of god that my two sons were born with deformities," said Ramlal.
