THE MOTORCYCLE used in the sensational triple murder at Krishna Nagar tri-section a couple of days back was financed using fake papers.
The person who had purchased the motorcycle had struck a deal with the assailants for Rs 25,000.
Though the cops have taken into custody two persons of the gang which carried out the murder. But, the shooters are at large. Interestingly, the cops on Sunday were seen pleading with rickshaw- pullers around Ashiana crossing to give them some information about the shooters! Besides, the cops also interrogated some LDA employees as one of the deceased was a contractor.
On the basis of the Pulsar motorcycle that was recovered by the cops from the spot, the police started checking up on one Ramesh Yadav. It was found that the bike was financed from the ICICI Bank using fake papers.
SSP Dr GK Goswami said the cops also found a driving licence and on the basis of the photo used in the DL zeroed in on Subhash Kumar Yadav, resident of Kamlapur village in Nagram police circle.
After Subhash’s interrogation, the cops got even more confused. It then became clear that Subhash along with Deepak, a resident of Neelmatha, Cantt were involved in vehicle insurance. They had relationship with Munna, a vehicle financer and a resident of New Ganesh Ganj. All three had got a motorcycle financed after striking a deal with some people for Rs 25,000.
Cops learnt that few days back, two brothers Ramesh and Rakesh Yadav had got a Qualis financed through Munna. Though this vehicle was financed correctly, but Munna had kept a photocopy of the documents given by Ramesh.
The motorcycle was financed on the basis of these papers. What’s more, the trio had also procured details of Ramesh’s IndusInd Bank account after bribing a bank employee for Rs 2000.
The bank account details further helped those into financing vehicle fraudulently as they managed to get crucial details about Ramesh and his family. The two persons who were arrested by the police earlier gave some vital information to the police in that connection. Subsequently, the cops acting on the information have rounded up some more people.
SSP said that the cops were now trying to find whether the motorcycle used in the triple murder was actually financed by the shooters or whether someone who orchestrated the murder got the vehicle financed.
He claimed that the triple murder case would be worked out in a couple of days. Meanwhile, a separate police party interrogated some LDA employees on Sunday at their residence. However, the police, so far is acting on the premise that the assailants were targeting Suresh Yadav. The cops are still not very serious about JS Anand and his son Sandeep who have been named in the FIR on conspiracy charges.
Police say that they are also keeping an eye on a criminal who was earlier associated with the gang of a former MLC, Ajit Singh, who was mysteriously shot dead. A person associated with this criminal was also interrogated by the cops. “We are not ruling out anything. For instance a prominent land shark of Talkatora too is not above suspicion,” police said.
