THE TRIVENI Mahotsav started on the bank of the Yamuna on Tuesday with the traditional Triveni ?aarti? and ?deepdan?. Later, singers Anuradha Paudwal and Malini Awasthi enthralled the audience with some devotional sings.

Paudwal started with ‘Shantakaram, bhujagshayanam....’ followed by a few of her popular bhajans and Hindi film songs. Awasthi, a known folk singer, regaled the audience with traditional Bhojpuri songs.
Local singer Manoj Gupta also shared the stage with them and started with a bhajan composed by BJP State chief Keshari Nath Tripathi followed by some ghazals. The artistes were accompanied by Ravishanker on the flute, Jaikishan on the violin, Bhimsen on the tabla, Sudhakar Tiwari on the octopad, Jayani Bose on the synthesizer and Rajesh Bhatt on the dholak.
Earlier, Keshari Nath Tripathi performed the ‘deepdan’. Commissioner Dr Lalit Verma was the chief guest.
