The duo has been identified as Rajesh Sharma (30), resident of Kharoda village and Rajkumar (25), native of Jakhopur village.

On the basis of fake CBI identity cards, the accused allegedly approached businessmen in Sohna while asking them to show their accounts. The duo allegedly demanded R1.5 lakh from the owner of AK Medicare.

The matter came to light when the two accused approached Praveen Pahuja, owner of Dev Education Centre, and claimed that they had received a complaint that the centre was not providing free education to children of economically weaker sections.

Pahuja then consulted his counsel Satpal Yadav.

“The educational institution belongs to Pahuja. The duo sought Rs 12,000 from him and threatened to take legal action if the amount wasn’t paid to them. When Pahuja refused, the duo clicked photographs of his office. They gave him their phone number saying he could get the records upon payment of the amount,” alleged Yadav.
