Two JeM terrorists gunned down in J&K

Two terrorists, including a Pakistani national, belonging to Jaish-e-Mohammad, are killed in a gunbattle with security forces in Pulwama district on Monday morning, officials said.

Two terrorists, including a Pakistani national, belonging to Jaish-e-Mohammad, were killed in a gunbattle with security forces in Pulwama district on Monday morning, officials said.

Acting on a tip-off, Special Operation Group of local police assisted by Rashtriya Rifles personnel cordoned Kasrigam area in the wee hours.

The terrorists who were hiding in a house opened fire at the joint team and in retaliatory firing, two of them were killed.

The slain terrorists were identified as Wasim, a Pak national and self-styled district commander of JeM and Irshad Ahmed, a local militant of the outfit, the sources said.

Two AK rifles were recovered from them, they said.
