Two Naxalites gunned down in Chhattigarh

Two Naxalites were killed on Sunday in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh in a joint operation of state and Andhra Pradesh police.
"Two Naxalites were killed and one AK-47 and a motorcycle were recovered from them after a shoot-out near Madimalai village of Bijarpur district about 500 km from Raipur," police said.
The police team on a search operation saw two persons on a motorcycle with weapons and asked them to surrender.
The Naxalites fired on the police party and in shootout two Maoists were killed, police said.
