Pulan Moran alias Phulen Chetia was shot dead while two of his accomplices managed to flee, the sources said.

Army's J&K regiment challenged a group of ULFA militants at Bormusai in Dirak and the gunbattle ensued in which the militant was gunned down, officials said, adding that one AK-56 rifle was found at the spot.
