ARRIVAL OF senior BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani’s ‘Bharat Suraksha Yatra’ in Ujjain is likely to be overshadowed by massive preparations for the launch of new political party by Uma Bharti on April 30.
The Yatra would reach here on April 28 and a public meeting is scheduled at Shaheed Park. But, even within the BJP, preparation meetings are dominating by discussions on Uma’s new outfit.
The Sadhvi would arrive here on April 29 and after visiting few temples she would go to Dhar for ‘Darshan’ at Bhojshala. Uma would return to Ujjain the same night.
The new party’s flag would be unfurled outside the Mahakaleshwar Temple at 3.10 pm, which is the ‘mahurat’ decided for the launch. From here, the flag would be taken to the Tower Chowk where Uma Bharti would address a public meeting. The party’s name and symbol would be announced during the rally.
The front has christened the launch ceremony as ‘Prakatosav’. Former Member of Parliament from Khandwa Amrit Lal Tarawala reviewed the preparations with Uma followers here on Saturday.
Kamal Upadhayay of Dhar has been made convener for the ceremony. Local Uma loyalist Anand Agrawal claimed over 30,000 followers would arrive here to join the launch ceremony. Several media persons from outside are also expected to come for coverage and rooms have been booked for them in city hotels.
He said leaders including Madanlal Khurana, Sanghpriya Gautam and Swami Chinmayanand would also present on the occasion. Although, the design and colour of the flag are not yet announced, there are reports that Uma has finalised full saffron triangular flag for her party.
