UN finds its blue-eyed boy in Pitt

Actor Brad Pitt has been called upon by the UN agency boss Kofi Annan to don UN goodwill ambassador's hat.

Tomb Raider beauty Angelina Jolie's positive influence on Hollywood hunk, Brad Pitt seems to be a lot more than just love and babies, it also has made him a blue-eyed boy of the UN, who may hire him as their goodwill ambassador, following in the footsteps of his illustrious girlfriend.

And his case is being considered by none other that the agency boss, Kofi Annan himself.

Pitt joined Jolie in her soirees as the UN goodwill ambassador for refugees last year, and more recently during a highly publicised visit to earthquake-ravaged Pakistan ,where he donated 40 orthopaedic beds to a hospital in Islamabad worth a million dollars.

And all this seems to have tilted the scales in his favour for landing the plum role, with the Secretary-General himself saying that Pitt's case was actively being considered.
