Unidentified persons set on fire CPI-M's branch committee office at nearby Koilandy town, police said on Tuesday.

Unidentified persons set on fire CPI-M's branch committee office at nearby Koilandy town, police said on Tuesday.
Police said the group reportedly broke open the door of the branch committee, about 25 km from Kozhikode and set ablaze the furniture after pouring kerosene.
The fire was doused by police and fire personnel after locals alerted them, they said.
CPI-M activists staged a protest march in Kozhikode this evening seeking immediate arrest of the culprits, police said adding a case under IPC, Section 435 (arson) has been registered.
