UP: 10-yr-old girl dead after teacher’s gun fires accidentally

Rinky, a class fifth student at Pursi primary school, was badly hurt, when revolver of Siksha Mitra (contractual teacher) Praveen Singh fired accidentally this morning, police said.

A 10-year-old girl was on Saturday killed after a revolver, belonging to a Shiksha Mitra fired accidentally in Chavani area.

Rinky, a class fifth student at Pursi primary school, was badly hurt, when revolver of Siksha Mitra (contractual teacher) Praveen Singh fired accidentally, police said. (Shutterstock)

Rinky, a class fifth student at Pursi primary school, was badly hurt, when revolver of Siksha Mitra (contractual teacher) Praveen Singh fired accidentally, police said.

The teacher rushed the student to Faizabad where doctors declared her brought dead, they said.

According to eyewitnesses, Singh was cleaning his licensed revolver, when the accident happened.

Singh was taking the weapon for submission ahead of the Panchayat elections.
