Vajpayee regime neglected women, says Rabri
"Vajpayee is not married and that's the reason why he does not know the miseries women face," Rabri Devi said while addressing poll rallies in Bihar.
Bihar's Chief Minister, Rabri Devi, said on Thursday that Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has done precious little for the betterment of women, alleging that women had been subjected to insult during his regime.
"Vajpayee is not married and that is the reason why he does not know the miseries the women are facing," Rabri Devi said while addressing election rallies at differnt places in Madhepura where her husband and RJD chief, Laloo Yadav, is pitted against the Union consumer affairs minister, Sharad Yadav.
"The Centre has done nothing for women. They have been subjected to insult and harassment during the Vajpayee regime," she said calling upon people to throw out the NDA Government.
She castigated the Centre for its alleged apathy towards providing a special financial package for Bihar after creation of Jharkhand.
