The way he ran his runs and the understanding he showed with opening partner Gautam Gambhir in the brief time they were at the crease, would have calmed the nerves in the dressing room that the hearing ailment will not affect the Delhi dasher's game.

The Indian star has been diagnosed with 'sensorineural' hearing loss. Apparently, Sehwag was exposed to a loud noise at the NCA, Bangalore last month while undergoing rehab.
