IN THIS age of computers, every information is just a click away. But for those trying to retrieve up-to-date information about the North Central Zone Cultural Centre (NCZCC) are surely in for a shock. The late Vishnukant Shastri is still chairperson of the NCZCC as mentioned at the website.

The Governor is appointed as the chairperson by a notification of the Government of India, and now the name of TV Rajeswar, the present Governor should be listed there. But it seems none cared to update such an important fact.

As far as the information regarding the cultural activities are concerned, they are available for the month of March 2005 although it is already January 2006.

Thus the users should be ready for another shock since they will not get any information for the last nine months. Under the sub-head of 'Cultural events/activities' the information is available only from April 2004 to March 2005. The last entry is of Philatelic exhibition which was conducted on March 21-22, 2005 by the Postal Department and Pratibha Utsav organised on March 21. After that there is no information of any other event.

Again under the sub-heading of 'Discovering new talent', the current information available is only from June 2003- 04.

If there is much information about the 'Shilp Haat', then thanks to the website, the new users will be ignorant of the fact that 'Allahabad Haat' was started last year as an important step towards linking the Centre with a venue of recreation.
The information about workshops for children is still restricted to the dateline of June 21, 2004. Again the information regarding the upcoming talents and scholars is available only till March 21, 2005.

The calendar which contains the entire year schedule of the Centre has the events listed only till April 2005. However there is just a mere mention of the event 'Chalo Man Ganga Yamuna Teer' which is scheduled to be held in 2006 during Magh Mela.

The books published by the Centre are listed on the site but without the mention of any information regarding the dates of their publication and release.
