A Bhopal court on Saturday issued a regular warrant against underworld don Abu Salem's first wife Sameera Jumani alias Rubina Beg in a fake passport case.

Judicial Magistrate Dinesh Kumar Dangi issued the arrest warrant on an application by public prosecutor RK Motwani on behalf of Bhopal police and fixed the next hearing for November 26.

Earlier, the court had issued regular warrant against Abu Salem and his girlfriend Monica Bedi, who used fake passports to flee the country after their involvement in the 1993 Mumbai riots came to light.

Abu Salem, who was extradicted along with Monica from Portugal recently, is in the custody of Mumbai police, while Monica Bedi is in judicial custody at Hyderabad.

A Bhopal police team is already in Hyderabad to bring Monica after the local court issued a production warrant on November 17 directing to produce her on November 26.

The trio were issued passports in fake names from the Regional Passport Office here in July, 2001 and a case in this regard was registered at the city's Kohefiza police station in November that year.

Brother Abdul Jalil alias Siraj and Abdul Kabir alias Baba, both Bhopal residents, who helped them in getting the fake passports, are already on bail.

Abu Salem had obtained the fake passport in the name of Danish Beg, Monica Bedi as Fouzia Usman and Sameera Jumani as Rubina Beg.
