Wassan Assault: Gurgaon police to probe case

A day after former Indian cricketer Atul Wassan was allegedly manhandled by commandoes of a Haryana minister, the case was transferred to the Gurgaon police by the Delhi police.

A day after former Indian cricketer Atul Wassan was allegedly manhandled by commandoes of a Haryana minister, the case was transferred to the Gurgaon police by the Delhi police.

“We are investigating the matter,” said SS Dewsal, Gurgaon police commissioner.

Wassan was assaulted by some men at the Delhi-Gurgaon toll plaza on Wednesday.

At the time of the incident, Wassan was returning to his Gurgaon residence after dinner at a five-star hotel.

However, the minister claimed that the matter has been sorted out.
